Publication of your contribution

The presentation of your contribution for DC 2024 will take place in two ways:

- written as a full paper in the Springer conference proceedings (6-8 pages), a paper in the supplementary proceedings (from 3 to 8 pages) or as an extended abstract in the supplementary proceedings (2 pages). Copyrights will be transferred to RILEM in the case of a full paper in the Springer conference proceedings (Hardcover Book, including E-Book, ISBN, DOI) preventing you from submitting that work anywhere else. In the supplementary proceedings, you can choose the copyright license (Online publication server, including DOI). Please note that three awards will be given to the best full papers of the conference proceedings.

- in person at the conference as a lecture or poster presentation (including a 3 minutes presentation on stage). Three awards will be given to the best posters of the conference.

Scientific review

Only the papers with the highest ratings in the peer review will be published in the conference proceedings. The conference proceedings thus fulfil the highest scientific quality standards. It will be published by Springer (Hardcover Book, including E-Book and ISBN) and the articles published in it will be listed and indexed in the Web of Science (see https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-06116-5).

The number of contributions in the Springer Conference Proceedings as well as the number of oral presentations is limited. Therefore, for options A1, A2, B1, and C1, a scientific review, including the decision whether the contribution will be integrated into the Springer Conference Proceedings and/or whether an oral contribution can be made at the conference, will be carried out. These are two independent evaluations, i.e. papers or extended abstracts that are not included in the Springer Conference Proceedings can also qualify for an oral contribution.

Papers that do not qualify for publication in the Springer proceedings will be published in the Supplementary Proceedings (A1 → B1, E-Book). The supplementary proceedings will be published as Open Access on an online publication server, including a DOI.

Contributions that do not qualify for an oral presentation can be presented as a poster, including a short talk (A1, B1, C1 → A2, B2, C2).

Please note that full papers that do not strictly meet the 6 to 8-page limit will automatically be published in the Supplementary Proceedings (A1 → B1).

For options B2 and C2, there is an editorial review.
